Kamon （家紋）about Family business 1

Hi 

I am D.Aoki of Monten Aoki. I want to explain the means of "Kamon" today. 

"Kamon" means family crest in Japanese.

Ka（家） means "family" in Japanese.

Mon（紋）means "crest" in Japanese.

"Monten" means Mon and ten (store).

My grand father have ran "Aoki Monten" in Hakata, Fukuoka, Japan about 80 years ago and my father have taken over family business from my grand father 40 years ago. The artisans have drawn "Kamon" by their hands with brushes, paper mold, compasses.
